This is the return of Wu-Tang! Their first studio release since the death of Dirty Ol Bastard, these superstars have returned...GZA, RZA, Method Man, Ghostface Killa, Raekwon, U-God, Inspecta Deck and Masta Killa, they re all here. The Hear Gently Weeps features Erykah Badu and is the first song to feature a Beatles sample! This is A MUST for true hip-hop fans. The 8 Diagrams comes with a bonus DVD!!

THEY RE BACK BUT FOR WHAT?!! THEY ARE SHELLS OF THEIR FORMER SELVES! - TAKE IT BACK Is the only track worth the listen. Every thing else is mere filler compared to the lp s of old. This was just a disc for the fans asking for anutha WU joint. Without ODB, Mef & Raekwon are the only members when they come together still worth checkin for. The RZA sounds so amateur on this and it is a cryin shame because his Afro Samurai disc musically sounds much better and his stamp on it way stronger. Just download# 2 and its a rap! It gets an F. Peace Ya ll.

Pick and choose your tracks here - 8 Diagrams starts out with all the promise in the world. The beats are banging, the sound palette is in place and the boys sound incredibly assured lyrically. The misses only start to appear when guest artists start showing up, and unfortunately half the record features unnecesary (and in Badu s case, detrimental) appearances. As a whole record it doesn t hold up. Track by track picking is the way to go here. Even a slight fan can score at least four tracks off of here and be happy.

THIS IS NOT OLD WU. GET OVER IT!! - For all the people complaining that this is not the old WU need to shut up and move on. Every album is supposed to have a new sound to it. I love this album and I know that as individuals, the Wu still make their vintage sound on other tracks, so I m secure in knowing that Wu has not changed, but have just experimented. Also know that it is impossible to please everybody, because if this album sounded like 36 chambers, there would still be people complaining that the album sounds old and would like to hear something new.

You can never find Zig weak spot, stop looking!!!!! - I give this 5 stars because I think still compared to most newer rap this is above it..What I wouldn t do is compare this entire album to 36 Chambers or Forever ...those people looking for that straight gritty sound that endeared Wu to a whole generation isn t here in full...I d say the closest song to that Wu is #13 Weak Spot...But all that being said this is a great album...It starts off with a sample from 8 Diagram Pole Fighter in the classic Wu style of Kung-fu homage in Campfire. Lyrically the album just works for me..I woulda liked to hear more from Gza on this album but I think the lyrics are definitely still on it...Beats wise it depends on what you are looking for..Being someone that digs Rock&Roll and other genres I guess I liked some of the heavier beats like Campfire and Unpredictable.. Guns Will Go and Windmill probably had my two favorite beats looking at it from a hip-hop perspective...But to me the genius song on the album was The Heart Gently Weeps..They took the hook from the Beatles song and made it their own..where most artists just rob the beat and little else, Wu made it their own...I was distressed about Ghostface s comments before the album came out..but in retrospect I think it was a personal thing about the Wu album being dropped before his..a shame but when that many artists get together with such talent, egos will ensue..My Top 5 tracks1. Heart Gently Weeps2. Rushing Elephants3. Windmill4. Stick Me for My Riches5. Weak SpotWu Forever!!

Wu-Tang classic - This is another Wu-Tang classic album that deserves 5 Stars, no question about it. RZA developed great beats and the members really show up lyrically. Not much more can be said beyond go get the album yourself, sit back, and enjoy it.
